Wendy Gilmour joined the Canadian Foreign Service in 1990, with postings to Zimbabwe (cross accreditation to Mozambique, Botswana and Angola), the United Kingdom and Nigeria. She served in international peace operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Office of the High Representative) and Kosovo (Political Advisor to the Commander NATO Kosovo Force) in the 1990s, and with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Political Advisor to the Canadian Commander Joint Task Force South-west Asia post 9-11.
Zeeshan Ali, an inspiration to many, was raised in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to Canada, where he has had an incredible career progression. Zeeshan has been the Vice President at Salesforce Canada for digital transformation technologies since March 2015. He’s responsible for Salesforce’s products portfolio, with a focus around financial services, telecommunication and retail verticals. He has spent 12 years at Salesforce and previously, he has held various positions with technology giants like Oracle Corporation and BEA Systems. Zeeshan has lived in Canada since 1998.
Naveed has been working with the public sector, academia, research centers, and international development organizations for almost two decades. He is well-versed and writes widely in the fields of public policy, governance, urban development, and economic reforms. His current research and policy work focuses on entrepreneurship, public sector governance, public-private partnerships, and cities.
Raza Bashir Tarar
Joined Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1987.
Held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad: Manila (1991-1994), Brussels (1999-2002), Tokyo (2003-2004) and New York (UN) (2008-2013).
Served at the Headquarters as Desk Officer (1989-1990 & 1995-1999), Director (2005-2008) and Director General (2013-2015).
Served in Pakistan Permanent Mission to the United Nations, New York from (2008-2013) as Minister Disarmament, Deputy Permanent Representative and Pakistan's Deputy Representative to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Served as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Kenya from August 2015 to January 2019, with concurrent accreditation to Burundi, Eritrea, Rwanda and Uganda.
Presently, he is serving as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada since February 2019, with concurrent accreditation to Trinidad & Tobago.
He is married and blessed with two children.
